Welcome to the Gunpla Box! 

Doug here ~ I am the creator of the GunPla Box.  My love for gunpla started back in middle school, watching Gundam Wing on Toonami and building my first gunpla kit, a no grade 1/100 EW Nataku. When I went to college, I put my passion down and then spent the next several years joining the workforce. In the midst of a career change and going back to school, my loving wife bought me a PG Zaku as a way to motivate & celebrate my successful completion of a masters degree. It was through that simple act she reignited my passion for gunpla. 10 years later, I’ve been snap fitting, scratch building, sculpting and painting gunpla of all grades.  She tells me I should also include that I’ve been scouring the web for 10 years on all gunpla related twitter posts, YouTube videos, and the like.  I tell her she’s imagining things ;) 

I’ve also been lucky enough to find a friendly group of gunpla lovers to fuel my love of this hobby.  With the GunPla Box, I want to create a space where gunpla lovers can come together through a shared experience of building the same kit and learning the same new skill to grow this hobby that brings me joy, happiness, friendship.  There’s nothing quite like taking some time to do what we love.
